My Teaching techniques are the following:
1. Warm Welcome - I want my students to feel welcome as soon as they enter the class.
수업에 들어서는 순간 저는 제 학생들이 환영 받는다고 느끼길 바랍니다.
To make them feel that they're in a friendly environment and that there's nothing to be afraid of.
그렇게 느끼게 하려면, 친근한 환경이어야 하고 두려울 게 없어야 합니다.
2. Be Patient- Not all student are the same. They all have different approach.
모든 학생들은 같지 않습니다. 각각 다르게 접근해야 합니다.
Keep in mind that i'm here to help them and teach English, not to scare them off.
학생들을 겁주려는 것이 아니라 영어를 가르치고 도와주려고 여기에 있다는 것을 마음에 심어주어야 합니다.
3. Get Their Attention- I've been a student, and yes, I got bored too!
저도 학생이었고, 네, 저 또한 지루했었습니다.
And since that I am the teacher now, I want my class to be fun and interesting.
이젠 제가 선생님이기 때문에 제 수업이 흥미롭고 재미있기를 바랍니다.
I can make their subject of interest as an example to our lesson.
학생의 관심 주제를 수업의 본보기로 사용할 수 있습니다.
4. Set Boundaries- I want to have that approachable image to the students.
저는 학생들이 접근하기 좋은 이미지를 가지고 싶습니다.
I want them to think of me as a "friend" that they can always ask assistance on class, I don't want to be too intimidating.
학생들이 저를 수업에서 언제든 도움을 요청할 수 있는 친구로 여기기를 바랍니다. 저는 겁을 주고 싶지 않습니다.
But at the same time, they would listen to me and respect me.
하지만 동시에 학생들이 제 말을 잘 따르고 존중하기를 바랍니다.
5. Familiarize- I know that I would be dealing with a lot of students but that wouldn't keep me from knowing them one by one.
많은 학생들을 대해 왔지만 제가 그들을 일일이 알지는 못한다는 것을 저도 알고 있습니다.
It's nice to make them feel or know that they've been recognized individually.
선생님이 학생들 각각을 잘 알고 있다고 느끼도록 해주는 것이 좋습니다.
That you don't only see them as another student but make them feel they're important.
선생님은 학생들을 또 한 명의 학생 정도로 보는 게 아니라 그들이 중요하다라고 느끼게 해줘야 합니다.

Why is English important?
Since English is known as the universal language and almost all people around the world are using it, it is important that we must learn and study it in order for us to communicate easily.
영어는 세계적인 언어이고 전 세계의 거의 모든 사람들이 사용하고 있습니다. 그래서 사람들과 편하게 의사 소통하기 위해서는 우리가 영어를 배우고 공부하는 것이 중요합니다.
There are books that are written in English, we must learn the language to read and study the contents that we need for our daily consumption.
영어로 쓰여진 책이 있습니다. 우리의 일상에 필요한 내용을 공부하고 읽으려면 영어를 배워야만 합니다.
Everywhere we look and go, English language is being used.
영어는 우리가 보고 방문하는 모든 곳에서 사용되고 있습니다.
If we didn't dare to learn and use the language, how can we communicate with others who speak the language? How can we understand what's being said?
우리가 영어를 배우고 사용하지 않는다면 어떻게 영어를 말하는 다른 사람들과 소통할 수 있을까요?
It is not too late to learn and study English.
영어를 배우고 공부하기에 늦지 않았습니다.
It is more important to learn the language now that the technology is rapidly changing, the economy, the people and so is the culture.
기술은 빠르게 변화하고 있고, 경제, 사람 그리고 문화도 빠르게 변화하기 때문에 영어를 배우는 것이 더욱 더 중요합니다.
It would be a big help once you master the language.
일단 영어를 배우고 나면 큰 도움이 될 겁니다.

Why do you want to be an English Teacher?
I want to be an English teacher because I want to do better of myself, and at the same time making the best out of someone, too.
저는 더 나은 내가 되는 동시에 남들 가운데 최고이고 싶어서 영어 선생님이 되려고 합니다.
In my previous jobs, I’ve been assigned to train and shape up new employees.
이전에 저는 새 고용인들을 다듬고 훈련시키는 일을 했습니다.
It's always been a wonderful feeling and experience seeing them improve and do more because of my help for only a short time.
제 도움으로 짧은 시간 만에 그들이 발전하고 더 일하는 모습을 보는 것은 언제나 굉장한 경험이었습니다.
I wanted to do more of that in the future. The realization that with my small effort, someone could go big and succeed and that something good came out of it.
앞으로 그런 것을 더 하고 싶습니다. 제 작은 노력으로 누군가가 성장과 성공을 할 수 있고 괜찮은 무언가를 도출하는 그런 경험 말입니다.

How to teach English efficiently?
I've read somewhere that you have to repeat, repeat and repeat.
“반복하고 반복하고 반복하라.”라는 글을 어디선가 읽은 적이 있습니다.
I guess teachers got to have patience because before every class they need to review the previous lesson even for only three to five minutes.
선생님은 인내심을 가져야 한다고 생각합니다. 왜냐하면 매 수업에 앞서 3~5분 내에 이전 수업을 복습해야 하기 때문입니다.
Sometimes the student's mind goes blank after a long day and they need to refresh it.
긴 하루를 보낸 후 때때로 학생들의 머리가 멍해져서 휴식이 필요하기도 합니다.
And also, teachers don't need to rush on teaching.
그럴 때 선생님은 몰아쳐서 가르치면 안됩니다.
They need to take it slow, but not too slow, just enough to make sure the students understands the lesson.
천천히 하지만 너무 느리지 않게 해야 합니다. 학생들이 수업을 확실히 이해하게 하는 것으로 충분합니다.
The teacher also needs a lot of preparation for some students need further explanation of the subject.
주제에 대한 더 깊은 설명이 필요한 일부 학생들을 위해서는 더 많은 준비도 필요합니다.
